Miller, Alvin J.
May 9, 1933 - March 11, 2019
Alvin J. Miller, 85, a resident of Lacey Spring, passed away Monday, March 11, 2019, at Harrisonburg Health and Rehab Center. Mr. Miller was born May 9, 1933, in Dover, Del., and was the son of the late Jacob and Sarah Yoder Miller.
He spent his childhood in Stuarts Draft as part of the Amish community and then moved to Harrisonburg in 1950. He was employed by Weaver’s Hatchery and worked various jobs, including owning his own dump truck, which he used to haul gravel and plow snow for the state. Alvin and Sarah donated many hours to the Virginia Mennonite Relief Sale, including organizing Friday night suppers and making furniture. He enjoyed camping at various campgrounds, hunting, fishing and working in his wood shop. His favorite camping trip was taken across the country in 2005. He was a member of Ridgeway Mennonite Church.
On June 30, 1979, he married Sarah Simon Miller, who survives.
Also surviving are his children, Susan Webster and husband, James Tyree, of Richmond, and Betty Durrett and husband, Jeff, of Dayton; stepson, Rodney Conley and wife, Penny; siblings, Irvin Miller and wife, Elizabeth, of Stuarts Draft, David Miller of Newton, N.C., and Amanda Schrock and husband, Noah, of Costa Rica; half siblings, Alma Troyer and husband, Ezra, of Newport, Maine, Rhoda Miller and husband, Dan, of Itasca, Texas, and Joe Miller and wife, Freda, of Valley, Wash.; sister-in-law, Alice Miller of Stuarts Draft; brother-in-law, Calvin Troyer of Stuarts Draft; two grandchildren, Lincoln Miller and Jillian Miller; two stepgrandchildren, Adam Conley and Morgan Conley; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his siblings, Elva Miller and husband, Amos, and Ida Schrock and husband, Elmer; half siblings, Miriam Heatwole and husband, Joseph, Elmer Miller, Martha Miller and Mary Troyer; and a sister-in-law, Esther Miller.
Pastor Ben Risser will conduct a funeral service Thursday, March 14, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Ridgeway Mennonite Church in Harrisonburg. Burial will follow at Grace Mennonite Fellowship Cemetery in Lacey Spring.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Ridgeway Mennonite Church.

Miller, Amy Lynette
June 29, 1999 - Sept. 22, 2019
Amy Lynette Miller, age 20, of Nappanee, died at 8:45 PM, Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center where she had been a patient since May, after a 3 year illness. She was born June 29, 1999 in Elkhart to Duane E. and Dora (Bontrager) Miller.
Amy was a graduate of Sandy Ridge School. She worked at the Equine Veterinary Hospital in Wyatt and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Amy is survived by her parents Duane E. and Dora Miller, Nappanee; brothers, Darin L. (Karen) Miller, Nappanee, Ryan J. Miller, Nappanee, Terry Lynn Miller, Nappanee; grandparents, Eli and Edith Miller, Nappanee, Harley Jr. and Treva Bontrager, Shipshewana; and aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Family and friends may call after 2:00 Tuesday, September 24, 2019 and all day Wednesday, September 25th at the David Whetstone residence, 234 Plymouth-Goshen Trail, Nappanee. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am Thursday, September 26th at the Delbert Helmuth residence, 70388 West County Line Road, Nappanee. Officiating will be the Home Ministry of the Old Order Amish Church and burial will be in Borkholder Cemetery.
Miller, Anna Miller
February 8, 1927 - May 6, 2019
Anna Miller, 92, of Goshen, formerly of Topeka died at 4:05 pm on Monday, May 6, at Waterford Crossing Health Center. She was born on February 8, 1927 in LaGrange County to Amos S. and Edna Mae (Yoder) Miller. On June 16, 1950 in Elkhart County she married Elmer C. Miller; he died July 21, 1999.
Surviving are two sons, Roger (Kay Beth) Miller of Latty, OH, Clifford (Cheryl Weimer) Miller of LaGrange; two daughters, Phyllis (Douglas) Mishler of Topeka, Karen (Don) Fergison of Goshen; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; grandson, Eric Fergison; two brothers, Ora and Cletus Miller.
She was a homemaker and a member of Emma Church where in her younger years she taught Bible School and Sunday School. She enjoyed traveling with her husband which included making it to all 50 states. Anna was very dedicated in taking care of her family.
Visitation will be from 3:00 - 7:00 pm on Friday, May 10 and one hour prior to the 10:00 am funeral service on Saturday, May 11 at Emma Church, 1900 South 600 West, Topeka. Services will be conducted by Pastor Gene Hartman. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Topeka. Memorials may be given to Emma Church.

August 14, 1926 - January 22, 2019
Benedict E. Miller, 92, of Goshen, died at 5:40 pm on Tuesday, January 22, at his residence. He was born on August 14, 1926 in Conway Springs, KS, to Eli E. M. and Anna C. (Troyer) Miller. On March 15, 1951 in LaGrange County he married Mary J. Miller, she died May 21, 1983, then on October 27, 1984 in LaGrange County he married Ida Mae Miller, she survives.
Survivors in addition to his wife are a son, Gerald Ray (Rosetta) Miller of Millersburg; two daughters, Vera Mae (Kenneth) Jones of Middlebury, Loretta Sue (Ernie) Troyer of Shipshewana; four stepsons, Harley Wayne (Lizzie Mae) Miller of Topeka, Daniel (Dora Sue) Miller of Middlebury, LaVern (Alma) Miller of Hillsboro, WI, Christy, Jr. (Sara Etta) Miller of Goshen; a stepdaughter, Irene (Wayne) Borkholder of Nappanee; 20 grandchildren, 22 step grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren, 84 step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife; two grandchildren, a step granddaughter, a great grandchild, two step great grandchildren; three brothers, Crist, Enos and Sam Miller. Ben was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and had worked in different area factories.
Visitation will be after 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 23, and all day Thursday, January 24, at the family's residence, 10167 County Road 34 Goshen. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Friday, January 25, at the Calvin Lambright residence, 10275 County Road 34 Goshen. Miller, Clara C. Shrock
September 12, 1923-March 31, 2019
Clara C. Miller, 95, of Middlebury, died at 10:28 am, on Sunday, March 31 at Waterford Crossing Health Center, after a brief illness. She was born on September 12, 1923, in Mark Center, OH, to Mose B. and Amanda (Miller) Shrock. On December 9, 1943 in Hicksville, OH, she married Edward C. Miller; he died March 21, 2010.
Surviving are daughter, Amanda Casselman of Middlebury; three sons, Henry (Martha) Miller, Glenn (Wilma) Miller, Eugene (Tena) Miller all of Constantine, MI; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Lengacher of Hicksville, OH.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three brothers, Sherman, Mose, and Owen Shrock; two sisters, Della Miller and Elizabeth Beachy.
She was a member of Griner Church where she was very active in the sewing circle and taught Sunday School. She loved to quilt and had made one quilt for each of her grandchildren and over 100 quilts including many for the Michiana Relief Sale. She also enjoyed flower gardening and volunteering at World Missionary Press.
Visitation will be from 2:00- 4:00 and 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, April 3 and one hour prior to the 2:00 pm funeral service on Thursday, April 4 at Griner Church, 12418 CR 20 Middlebury. Services will be conducted by Pastor Robert Riegsecker. Burial will be in Griner Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Griner Church for Mission Projects.

June 14, 1940 - September 26, 2019
Clara N. Miller, 79, of LaGrange, died at 8:50 am on Thursday, September 26, at her residence, after a 10 year battle with Alzheimer's. She was born on June 14, 1940 in Chouteau, OK, to Noah E. and Sarah S. (Miller) Mullet. On November 3, 1960 in Wolcottville she married Emanuel E. Miller, he survives.
Survivors in addition to her husband are six sons, Wayne (Kathryn) Miller of LaGrange, Melvin (Emma) Miller of Hillsboro, WI, Mervin (Katie Fern) Miller of LaGrange, Paul (Linda) Miller of Topeka, Sherman (LuElla) Miller of LaGrange, Steven (Anna) Miller of LaGrange; three daughters, Joanna (Mervin) Shrock of LaGrange, Ruth (Sam) Schlabach of LaGrange, Irene (DeVon) Slabach of Shipshewana; 65 grandchildren, 108 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Enos (Polly) Mullet of Shipshewana, Sam (Judy) Mullet of Kimmel, Mervin (Marilyn) Mullet of Elkhart; two sisters, Anna (Sam) Lambright of Shipshewana, Mabel (LaVern) Yoder of Topeka. She was preceded in death by her parents and three grandchildren.
Clara was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Miller, Don A.
May 11, 1946 - July 17, 2019
Don A. Miller, 73 of Goshen died Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at his home.
He was born May 11, 1946 in Topeka to Freeman S. and Rachel (Yoder) Miller.
Survivors include a sister, Janet (Charles) Watkins and a brother, David (Dawn) Miller, both of Goshen; a sister-in-law, Shirley Miller; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Miller.
Don was a 1964 graduate of Topeka High School and worked in the mobile home manufacturing business.
A member of Emma Church, he had an amazing memory and enjoyed being with people. He also enjoyed sporting events, especially the Chicago Cubs and Notre Dame teams.
A 10 a.m. burial will take place Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Maple Grove Cemetery, Topeka.
Visitation will begin Sunday, July 21, 2019 at 1 p.m. prior to the 2:30 p.m. memorial service at Emma Church, 1900 S. 600 W., Topeka. Pastor Gene Hartman will officiate.
Memorial gifts may be directed to the church.
Miller, Edith Lorene Yoder, 56, New Paris, passed away peacefully January 5, 2019 at Elkhart General Hospital due to complications from Myasthenia Gravis.
She was born on June 22, 1962 in Ligonier to Elmer C. and Irene (Yoder) Yoder. On March 29,1986 she married Ron Miller from Sugarcreek, Ohio and then moved to Indiana in the fall of 1986.
She is survived by her husband, Ron of 32 years, daughters, Angela (Matthew) Zimmerman, Goshen, Abigail (Doug) Troyer, Halsey, Oregon, a son, Anson, at home, mother, Irene Yoder, Ligonier, mother-in-law, Mary Miller, Sugarcreek, Ohio, her friend, Mose J. Miller, Benton, Ohio, 3 sisters, Eilleen (Dorvan) Yoder, Milo, North Dakota, Carolyn (Delmar) Bontrager, Kalona, Iowa, Kathleen (Marcus) Beachy, Sugarcreek, Ohio, 3 brothers, Freeman (Betty) Yoder, Hillcrest, Arkansas, LaVerne (Kay) Yoder, New Paris, and DeWayne (Lori) Yoder, Millersburg.
She was preceded in death by a son, Austin, a daughter, Alicia, as well as her father, Elmer C. Yoder, and father-in-law, Wayne C. Miller.
Edith loved her family and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She faithfully attended Liberty Mennonite in Wakarusa along with her husband and son, Anson.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2019 at Bethel Conservative Mennonite Church, 25402 CR 50, Nappanee. A funeral service will also take place at Bethel at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2019 with a final viewing after the funeral. The service will be conducted by her Pastor and brothers-in-laws. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.

Edna M. Miller, 88, of Goshen died Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at home.
She was born August 12, 1930 in Corfu, New York to David and Caroline (Burkholder) Christner.
On October 10, 1953 she married Floyd W. Miller in Goshen. He died December 6, 2011.
Survivors include five daughters, Miriam (Lee) Crisenbery of Goshen, Grace (Tim) Graber of Wakarusa, Faith (TJ) Jenkins of Nappanee, Gloria (John) Banda, and Nancy Miller, both of Goshen; two sons, Ted (Rose) Miller of Sheldon, Wisconsin and Tim (Karen) Miller of Tyler, Texas; 22 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Freda Mishler of Seymour, Missouri.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Elmer, John D. and Jonas Christner, and a sister, Viola Christner.
A member of Griner Church, Middlebury, Mrs. Miller worked for Dwyer Instruments until her retirement at age 83. She loved sharing the gospel of Jesus and the love of the Lord with people. She enjoyed reading and staying in touch with friends and family.
Visitation will be Friday, March 29, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Griner Church, 12418 C.R. 20, Middlebury, and Saturday, March 30, 2019 one hour prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service at the church. Pastor Robert Riegsecker and Edna’s sons, Pastors Ted and Tim Miller, will officiate.
Burial will follow at Griner Cemetery, Middlebury.

Edna Mae Miller, 101, of Goshen, died at 2:45 am, on Wednesday, August 7 at Courtyard of Goshen. She was born on October 6, 1917, in Arcola, IL, to Ammon and Mattie (Miller) Miller. On September 20, 1936 in Arthur, IL she married Joe C. Miller; he died August 10, 1990.
Surviving are five daughters, Dorothy (Roy) Frank of Middlebury, Shirley (Wayne) Birkey of Granger, Barbara (Charlie) Miller of Middlebury, Carolyn Miller of Elkhart, Wanda (Allen) Delegrange of Millersburg; two sons, Robert E. (Trish) Miller of Goshen, Joe Miller, Jr. of Middlebury; 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Alma Miller of Arthur, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter-in-law, Becky Miller; sister, Lizzie Ann Bontrager; seven brothers, Jonas, Elmer, Ben, Eli, Daniel, Alvin, and Samuel Miller; one great-grandson.
Edna worked for Artisan Interiors in Middlebury for 11 years. She was a member of Clinton Frame Church and the women’s sewing circle. She was a caring mother and loved the Word of God.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 5:00 pm on Sunday, August 11 at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street, Middlebury. There will also be visitation from 9:30 to 10:15 am Monday, August 12 prior to the 10:30 am funeral service at Clinton Frame Church, Goshen. Services will be conducted by Pastors Linda Miller and Sebastiano Rosa. Burial will be in Clinton Union Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials may be given to Goshen Home Care and Hospice.
Miller, Edna Miller, age 84, of Milford, died peacefully surrounded by her family at 5:00 am, Sunday, February 3, 2019 at her home after an extended illness. She was born April 13, 1934 in St. Joseph County to Daniel A. and Fannie J. (Miller) Miller. She lived her lifetime in this area and was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church.
She and her husband, Marvin Miller lived in Holy Matrimony for 64 years 7 months and 28 days. They were married June 6, 1954. He survives along with their children, Ernest (Liz) Miller, Millersburg, Samuel (Martha) Miller, Earl (Sue) Miller, both of Nappanee, Loretta (Jerry) Yoder, Milford; 19 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; sisters, Clara (Daniel-deceased) Kemp, Wilma (Henry) Yoder, both of Nappanee; and a brother, Marvin (Fannie Mae) Miller, Nappanee. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandsons, Derek Miller , Anthony Yoder; a great granddaughter, Andrea Yoder, and sister, Liz Miller.
Family and friends may call after 2 pm, Monday, February 4th and all day Tuesday, February 5th at the Jerry Yoder residence (4256 W 1350 N, Milford). Funeral Services will also be at the Yoder residence, Wednesday, February 6th at 9:30 am. Bishop Sam Bontrager will officiate and burial will be in West Union Center Cemetery.

September 1, 1927 - July 28, 2019
Elizabeth A. Miller, 91, of Topeka, died at 7:03 pm, on Sunday, July 28 at her residence. She was born on September 1, 1927, in Topeka, to Albert M. and Anna (Miller) Hochstetler. On November 29, 1945 in Topeka, she married Ernest N. Miller; he died July 4, 1974.
Surviving are four daughters, Anna Marie (Wayne) Helmuth of Rosebush, MI, Orpha Miller of Mio, MI, Freeda (Ernest D.) Yoder of Goshen, Mary Ellen (Ernest E.) Miller of Townsend, MT; five sons, Freeman (Anna Marie) Miller of Brookfield, MO, Orva (Wilma) Miller of Shipshewana, Alvin (LeEtta) Miller of Topeka, Mervin Miller of Goshen, Norman (Susan) Miller of Topeka; 49 grandchildren, 160 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Samuel Miller; three brothers, Sam, Dan, and John Hochstetler; two sisters, Barbara Beachy and Anna Mae Hochstetler.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. Visitation will be after 2:00 pm on Monday, July 29 and all day Tuesday, July 30 at the family residence, 4255 S. 500 W., Topeka. Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Wednesday, July 31 also at the family residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop David Hochstetler and the home ministers. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, LaGrange.
Miller, Ervin
May 15, 1931 - Sept. 6, 2019
Ervin Miller, 88, of Elkhart, died Friday, Sept. 6, at Greenleaf Living Center, where he had been the last month.
He was born May 15, 1931 in Arthur, Illinois to Menno and Fanny (Beachy) Miller.
On Sept. 11, 1960 he married Marlene Kay Yoder at the North Main Street Mennonite Church, Nappanee.
She survives along with two children, Stuart Miller and Sherrill (Brian) Shinabarger, both of Elkhart; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, David (Martha Miller of Arthur, Illinois and a sister, Katie (Emmanuel) Troyer of Windsburg, Ohio.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by two infant siblings, Edward and Sarah Miller; six brothers, Stephen, Benjamin, Harvey, Jacob, Alvin and Albert Miller and a sister, Lizzie Marie Gingerich.
A carpenter, he worked for Willie’s Construction from 1959 to 2006.
Mr. Miller was a member of Sunnyside Mennonite Church and enjoyed making wooden games, especially those involving marbles.
Visitation will be Friday, September 13, 2019, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sunnyside Mennonite Church, 23786 Sunnyside Ave., Elkhart, and one hour prior to the 10 a.m., Saturday, September 14, funeral service at the church. Pastors Charles and Teri Geiser will officiate.
Burial will follow in Yellow Creek Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be given to Sunnyside Mennonite Church or Concord Fire Department.

Ervin U. Miller, 76, of LaGrange, died at 2:50 am on Wednesday, August 14, at Life Care Center, LaGrange. He was born on October 15, 1942 in Shipshewana, to Urias U. and Beulah (Miller) Miller. On October 28, 1965 in LaGrange, he married Alta Marie Yoder; she survives.

He was a chicken farmer and worked at Pleasant Haven in Goshen as a receptionist. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 am on Saturday, August 17 also at the family residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop DeWayne Bontrager and the home ministers. Esther E. Miller, 91, of Middlebury, died peacefully at 1:03 am, on Thursday, February 7, at her residence. She was born on October 27, 1927, in LaGrange County, to Emanuel and Nora (Miller) Schlabach. On December 13, 1951, in LaGrange County, she married Rudy J. Miller; he died August 20, 2008.

Miller, Ferne E. Longenecker, 65, of Landisville, Lancaster Co., PA died December 6, 2019. She was born January 31, 1954 at Elizabethtown, Lancaster Co., PA to Phares Jr. and Anna Ruth (Baer) Longenecker. On December 8, 1973 she was married to Martin Miller, who was born May 11, 1951 and survives.
Surviving are children, Jason husband of Darlene Beiler Miller, of Swain, NY; Kristina wife of Jonathan Shirk, of Manheim, PA; and Theresa wife of James Davies, Jr., of Landisville, PA; eleven grandchildren; and four siblings, Ava Lee Martin, of Maytown, PA; Dianne wife of Fred Stover, of Souderton, PA; Audrey wife of Everett Bender, of Ravenna, OH, and Duane husband of Carol Longenecker, of Atlanta, GA.

Ferne E. Miller, 65, of Landisville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 6, 2019. Born in Elizabethtown, she was the daughter of the late Phares Jr. and Anna Ruth Baer Longenecker. Ferne was the loving wife of Martin Miller and they would have observed their 46th wedding anniversary on December 8th. A dedicated homemaker, she also helped in the office of the family business, Miller's Greenhouses. Ferne was an active and faithful member of Landisville Mennonite Church. She graduated from Lancaster Mennonite High School in 1971. Ferne had a love for music, playing guitar and singing in various choirs. She was a passionate gardener, enjoyed bird watching, flowers, and going to the family cabin. One of her greatest joys was her family, and spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Martin, are three children, Jason husband of Darlene Beiler Miller, of Swain, NY, Kristina wife of Jonathan Shirk, of Manheim, Theresa wife of James Davies, Jr., of Landisville, eleven grandchildren, four siblings, Ava Lee Martin, of Maytown, Dianne wife of Fred Stover, of Souderton, Audrey wife of Everett Bender, of Ravenna, OH, and Duane husband of Carol Longenecker, of Atlanta, GA.

Fran Miller, 76, of Topeka, died at 1:25 am on Thursday, June 20, at Parkview LaGrange Hospital. She was born on August 30, 1942 in Gallipolis, OH. On August 31, 1963 in Emma Mennonite Church she married Larry W. Miller, he survives.
Survivors in addition to her husband are two daughters, Dawn (Gary) Yoder of LaGrange, Denise (Erik) McCall of Goshen; two sons, Jeff (Anne) Miller of Granger, Jerry Miller of Dallas, TX; eight grandchildren; one great grandson and a sister, Dorothy Brown of Wooster, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elam and Ethel (Sinclair) Zimmerly; sister, Elizabeth Boggs; brother, Albert Zimmerly; and a granddaughter, Kaleigh Miller.
Fran was a homemaker and had worked for the Westview School Corporation as a teacher's aide and also in the cafeteria. She also had worked at Orrville Hospital when she was younger. She was a member of Emma Church where she had volunteered teaching Sunday School and also did volunteer work for MCC.
Visitation will be from 1:00 - 5:00 pm on Sunday June 23, at Emma Church, 1900 South 600 West Topeka. Family and friends may gather at 9:00 am on Monday, June 24, at the church to go in a funeral procession to the 9:30 am graveside service at Miller Cemetery, Shipshewana. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am at the church. Services will be conducted by Pastor Gene Hartman. Memorials may be given to National Kidney Foundation.

Francis D. Miller, 82 of Goshen died Thursday, September 5, 2019 at home.
He was born May 4, 1937 in Coldwater, Michigan to Roy O. and Jemima (Yoder) Miller.
On April 11, 1959 he married Margaret “Peg” Yoder in Indianapolis.
She survives along with a daughter, Carolyn Miller of Elkhart; a son Robert (Joni) Miller of Millersburg; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Loleta (Larry) Yoder of New Paris and Bernita Hall of Elkhart; and three brothers, Floyd (Joyce) Miller of Glendale, Oregon, Frederick (Scheryl) Miller of Fort Wayne and Farrel (Sharon) Miller of Goshen.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Franklin Miller and infant sister, Joyce Miller.
Mr. Miller worked for Work One for 28 years as an audit examiner. He was a member of Pleasant View Church and regularly volunteered at Goshen Hospital as a Red Coat and at The Depot.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 8, 2019 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.
A 10 a.m. funeral service will be conducted Monday, September 9, 2019 at Pleasant View Church, 58529 C.R. 23, Goshen. Pastor Ron Diener will officiate.
Burial will follow at Christner Cemetery, Honeyville.

Gabriel Miller, infant son of Wayne E. and Amy Jo (Slabaugh) Miller, of Middlebury, was born February 2 at 5:10 AM and passed away 14 minutes later at 5:24 AM at St. Joseph Medical Center, Mishawaka.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a sister, Cate Annelise Miller at home; grandparents, Elmer and Marilyn Miller of Goshen and Glen and Esther Slabaugh of Shipshewana; great-grandparents, Orley S. and Mary Miller of Shipshewana and Raymond and Linda Slabaugh of Nappanee.

Harley A. Miller, age 75, of Etna Green, died at 2:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born May 20, 1943 in Lagrange to Amos J.M. and Anna G. (Helmuth) Miller. On January 22, 1970 he married Barbara Ann Mullet in Nappanee. In 1970 he moved from Lagrange County to Nappanee. Harley was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. He had worked in a Welding Fabrication Shop.
He is survived by his wife; children, Chris H. Miller, Jolene H. Watson, and Danny H. (Jodi) Miller, all of Nappanee, Leroy H. (Velda) Miller, Topeka, David H. (Adrienne) Miller, Greenville, SC, Melvin H. John M. Miller, 88, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy.
He was born May 14, 1931, to Omar and Matilda (Snyder) Miller at Nampa, Idaho.
John graduated from Western Mennonite High School (1950), from Eastern Mennonite University (1959), Eastern Mennonite Seminary (1961), and later earned a Ph.D. from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas.
John's life was oriented around missions, serving in a variety of ministry roles, including early voluntary service work in Puerto Rico; church planting and development work in Sinaloa, Mexico; missiology professor at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma; conference leadership roles with Franconia Mennonite Conference and Pacific Northwest Conference (MCUSA). During retirement, he continued to enjoy opportunities to write and teach, including several stints at Meserete Kristos College near Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
John enjoyed making things out of repurposed objects, whether it was melting old candles into a new candle for his desk, concocting wassail for family gatherings, or seeing possibilities for pieces of wood found in nature and turned on his workshop lathe into objects of beauty.
Survivors include his wife, Doris; two children, Brian Miller and his wife Heather of Lancaster, PA, Elizabeth Comeaux and her husband Jeff of Hot Sulpher Springs, CO; one sister, Elizabeth Kennedy, Hubbard, OR; and six grandchildren, Nathaniel Comeaux, Caleb (Kelly) Comeaux, Mackenzie Miller, Noah Comeaux, Jansen Miller, and Hollyn Miller. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Allan Miller, and his sister Ruth Baugher.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 4 at 11 a.m. at Stumptown Mennonite Church, 2813 Stumptown Road, Bird-In-Hand, with visitation from 10-11 am. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.

Mrs. Miller was born on June 10, 1924 in LaGrange County, to John S. and Martha (Miller) Miller.
Living her lifetime in LaGrange County, she was a homemaker and member of the Old Order Amish Church.
On November 29, 1949, Katie married Samuel Borntrager; he preceded her in death on March 25, 2003. On September 7, 2003, she married Enos E. Miller; he preceded her in death on November 11, 2016.
Surviving are three step-daughters; Katie (Floyd) Kauffman of Barnwell, SC; Sara Ann Miller of LaGrange and LeAnna (Samuel) Bowman of Hillsboro, WI, five step-sons, Daniel Ray (Fannie) Miller of Lengby, MN; David Lee (Saraetta) Miller of Pardeeville, WI; Harley (Elsie) Miller; Mervin (Luella) Miller and Tobie (Katie) Miller all of LaGrange, 44 step-grandchildren; 231 step-great-grandchildren; and 4 step-great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mattie J. Kendra Elaine Miller, three year old daughter of Wayne and Marlene (Schlabach) Miller, of LaGrange, died unexpectedly at 11:12 pm on Sunday, November 10 at Riley Children's Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born on January 28, 2016, in Topeka.
Surviving in addition to her parents are sister, Janelle Rose and two brothers, Adrian Lee and Kendon Jace Miller all at home; grandparents, Homer and Lovina Miller of Shipshewana, Wilbur and Marilyn Schlabach of LaGrange; great-grandparents, Ida Mae Schlabach of LaGrange, Edna Miller of Millersburg, Leroy and Elizabeth Miller of Shipshewana.

Loretta Jean Miller, 38, of Goshen, passed away at her residence at 9:50 am on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 following a two year courageous battle with cancer. She was born on March 25, 1981 in LaGrange to Ernest and Linda (Mullett) Miller.
Loretta is survived by her father and stepmother, Ernest and Kathleen Ann (Whetstone) Miller of Goshen; eight brothers, Dale Devon (Barbara) Miller of Millersburg, Lavern Dean Miller, David Wayne (Kristine) Miller of Topeka, Lonnie Gene Miller, Daryl Lee (Connie) Miller of New Paris, Gerald Ray (Sharon) Miller of New Paris, Allen Jay Miller of New Paris, Robert Lyn Miller of Goshen; two sisters, Waneta Fern (Luke) Miller of New Paris, Susie Ellen Miller of Goshen; eight nieces and five nephews; grandmothers, Mary Ellen Mullett and Susie Miller both of Topeka; step grandparents, Amos and Katie Ellen Whetstone of Goshen.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Miller; grandfathers, Melvin Lee Mullett and Harvey Miller.
Loretta had worked at Four Woods Laminating, Topeka and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Margaret Leah Troyer Miller, 95, of Streetsboro, died on Wednesday, January 30, 2019. She was born May 27, 1923, in Newton, Kansas to Miles and Mary (Reiff) Troyer. Margaret was a member of the Aurora Mennonite Church and was a teacher for the Streetsboro City Schools.
Survivors include her children Susan Miller of Streetsboro, Wilbur Miller married to Christine Miller of Ann Arbor, MI, Philip Miller of Streetsboro, and Sheryl Wideman married to Robert Wideman of Ontario, Canada, seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a sister, Grace Helmuth of Sagamore Hills.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Vernon D. Miller, and siblings Fern Erb, Vera Weaver, Rebecca Bixler, Dorothy Miller, and Darda Troyer.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 23, at the Aurora Mennonite Church, 59 E. Mennonite Road, Aurora, OH 44202. Pastor David Martino will officiate. Malinda Mae Miller, age 90, of Leesburg, died at 8:15 am, Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa, where she has resided for 4 years. She was born April 25, 1929 in Wilmot, OH to Levi J. and Elizabeth (Hershberger) Kuhns. She was a lifetime area resident. On November 3, 1955, she married Roman E. Miller in Nappanee. He preceded in death February 23, 2003. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and was a homemaker.

(Mary) Edna Miller, 99, of Middlebury, died at 10:23 am, on Wednesday, October 30 at the Courtyard of Goshen. She was born on September 3, 1920, in Bucklin, KS, to Joe and Fannie (Troyer) Stutzman. On December 25, 1940 in Chouteau, OK she married Mose A. Miller; he died June 23, 1997.
Surviving are daughter, Dorothy (Leon) Yoder of Middlebury; three sons, Vernon (Betty) Miller, Gerald (Glenda) Miller, Ernie (Ruby) Miller all of Middlebury; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Vera Yoder of Mazie, OK; brother-in-law, Ora Yoder of Chouteau, OK.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; five sisters, Lorene Yoder, Barbara Yoder, Wilma Yoder, Edith Yoder, and Dorothy Stutzman; four brothers, Henry, Enos, Harry, and Jay Stutzman.
Edna was a homemaker and a member of Griner Church where she was active in the sewing circle for many years. She volunteered for many years with World Missionary Press and enjoyed cooking, flower gardening and spending her winters in Florida. She was also a restaurant operator at area restaurants.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, November 1 and from 9:00 to 9:45 am on Saturday, November 2 at Griner Church, 12418 CR 20, Middlebury. Miller, Mary Jo (Joanna) Bontrager, 86, of South Bend, St. Joseph Co., IN died October 17, 2019 at the same place due to organ failure and complications of heart congestion and diabetes.
She was born November 30, 1932 at Shipshewana, LaGrange Co., IN to Amos T. and Kathryn Grace (Miller) Bontrager. Amos was born in 1895 and died in 1977. Kathryn was born May 21, 1903 and died in 1999.
On August 27, 1955 at Forks Mennonite Church, Middlebury, LaGrange Co., IN she was married to Lloyd D. Miller, who was born January 25, 1931 and survives.
Surviving are a daughter, Roslyn (John-deceased) Ricker; and two grandchildren.
Two brothers, Robert Bontrager and Maurice Bontrager preceded her in death.
Memorial services were held October 25, 2019 at Kern Road Mennonite Church, South Bend, IN with burial in Bontrager Family Cemetery, Shipshewana, LaGrange Co., IN.

Mervin M. Miller, 69, of Topeka, died at 2:55 am on Thursday, September 5 at his residence. He was born on September 13, 1949 in Goshen to Mahlon A. and Wilma (Eash) Miller.
Surviving are three sisters, Mary Miller of Topeka, Irene (Owen) Helmuth of Shipshewana, Christena Miller of LaGrange; two brothers, David (Mary) Miller of Topeka, Atlee (Margaret) Miller of Shipshewana; sister-in-law, Ada (Levi Lee) Beachy of Shipshewana; 10 nephews, nine nieces, four step-nephews and three step-nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Orva Miller; nephew, Mahlon Miller; two nieces, Wilma K. Miller and Angela Helmuth.
He attended the Arc of LaGrange County for seven years.

Nellie "Ruth" Miller, 91, of Shipshewana, passed away peacefully at 8:57 am, on Friday, February 15, at Greenhouse Village of Goshen. She was born on May 18, 1927 in Lagrange County to Evan and Clara (Speicher) Lambright. On November 9, 1946 in LaGrange County she married Paul J. Miller, died October 24, 2018.
Surviving are a daughter, Gwendolyn (Gene) Newcomer of Shipshewana; five sons, Gordon J. (Nancy) Miller of Spindale, NC, Gary (Patricia) Miller of Shipshewana, Gerald (Amy) Miller of Middlebury, Glen (Sheri) Miller of Shipshewana, Gene (Jenny) Miller of Goshen; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; two sisters, Doris (Ivan) Birkey of Shipshewana and Rachel (Lee) Troyer of Goshen; and the Chung Do family of Carmel.
She was preceded in death by parents; husband; two sisters, Lois Hooley and Evelyn Hostetler and a grandson, Grant Newcomer.
Ruth was a homemaker and a very active member at Shore Church where she often volunteered. She was the owner-operator of Green Meadow Bed and Breakfast, Shipshewana for 16 years. She'd love to host people in her home and have them stay for long periods of time. She loved to feed the birds and put puzzles together and she always looked forward to her family coming to visit.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, February 18, at Shore Church, Shipshewana. Family and friends will gather at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 19, at the church to proceed to the cemetery for a graveside service at Shore Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am at the church. Services will be conducted by Dennis Berkey. Memorials may be given to Shore Church.

Orva P. Miller, 77, of Topeka, died at 10:45 pm on Friday, March 1 at his residence. He was born on June 19, 1941, in LaGrange County, to Phillip N. and Wilma J. (Lambright) Miller. On October 5, 1961, in Shipshewana, he married Ella Mae Slabach; she died June 21, 2006. On April 5, 2008, in LaGrange County, he married LaVerda (Yoder) Detweiler, she survives.

Owen Miller Jr., 83, of Goshen, died Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at Courtyard Healthcare.
He was born July 29, 1935 in Goshen to Owen and Sarah (Lehman) Miller.
On November 2, 1956 he married Carol Miller in Nappanee.
She survives along with four sons, Rodney (Beth) Miller of Union, Michigan, Tim (Kathy) Miller of Naubinway, Michigan, Phillip (Bridget) Miller of Goshen and Byron (Debbie) Miller of Carmel; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and three sisters, Ida Bontrager of Goshen, Edna Graber of Middlebury and twin, Sarah (Frank) Christner, of Pocohontas, Missouri.
A lifetime member of the Goshen community, Owen owned and operated Miller’s Barber Shop for more than 50 years. He pitched in the area fast pitch softball leagues for more than 30 years and was a former member of the Goshen Noon Kiwanis Club. He also was a volunteer with the Elkhart Township Fire Department and served as a Seagoing Cowboy. Owen enjoyed working in his yard, playing golf, and riding around town on his scooter.
Visitation will be Friday, May 24, 2019, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 10 a.m. Saturday, May 25, memorial service will be held at Waterford Mennonite Church where he was a longtime member.
A private burial will be in Violett Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Waterford Mennonite Church or the MS Foundation.

Survivors include her brother, Melvin (Esther) Miller of Middlebury; two sisters, Viola Schmucker of Goshen and Ida Ellen (Fred) Miller of Nashville, AR; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Miller of Goshen and Deb Miller of Elkhart; her caregivers, John (Sara) Miller of Middlebury.

Mr. Miller lived his lifetime in this area. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and had retired from Ayr Cabinet.

Miller, Wilma Jean Classen, 70, of Harrisonburg, Rockingham Co., VA died April 2, 2019 at the same place from cancer.
She was born October 30, 1948 at Hillsboro, Marian Co., KS to Henry R.C. and Anna F. (Reimer) Classen. Henry was born December 1, 1919 and died September 26, 1976. Anna was born January 19, 1921 and died September 18, 1999.
On August 9, 1969 at Hesston, Harvey Co., KS she was married to Larry Dean Miller, who was born August 11, 1949 and survives.
Surviving are children, Laurie Yoder ( Derek); and Andrew Miller (Lana); five grandchildren; and two sisters, Irene Armstrong (Charlie) and Anna Joy Troyer (Jake).
A sister, Ruth Ebersole preceded her in death.
Memorial services were held April 6, 2019 at Community Mennonite Church, Harrisonburg, VA. Ashes inurned at Community Mennonite memory garden.
Mohler, Mildred Seibel, 78, of Ephrata, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2019, at Landis Homes.
She was born in Stevens to the late Edwin and Vera (Seibel) Weaver and was the wife of the late David W. Mohler who passed away in 2011. She was a member of Gehman Mennonite Church, Reinholds.
Mildred worked in the deli at Martin's Market for many years before retiring. She enjoyed reading, baking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Mildred is survived by a son, Ken, husband of Melanie (Gochnauer) Mohler of Ephrata; two daughters, Lucille, wife of Terry Hollinger of Richland, Janelle, wife of Dwane Reitz of Lancaster; 7 grandchildren; a brother, Albert Weaver of Ephrata and a sister, Gladys, wife of Wilbur Engle of West Chester.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Weaver and a sister Erma Geib.
A viewing will be held Sunday, March 31, 2019, from 6 to 8 PM at Landis Homes, West Bethany Chapel, 1001 E. Oregon Road, Lititz, PA 17543. An additional viewing will be held on Monday, April 1, 2019 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, at the West Bethany Chapel, followed by funeral services at 10:30 AM. Interment will take place in the Gehman Mennonite Cemetery.

Morse, Donald F., 81, of Lowville, Lewis Co., NY died April 9, 2019 at the same place. He was born January 19, 1938 at Lowville to Gilbert and Marguerite (Buckley) Morse. On May 2, 1959 at Lowville he was married to Mary Lou Jantzi, who survives.
Surviving are children, Brian S. Morse; and Julie A. and Ronald G. Belsterling; three grandchildren, and two sisters-in-law Cathy Morse and Kay Woodruff.
A sister, Patricia Makuch and three brothers, Herbert Morse, David Morse, and Richard Morse preceded him in death.
Mr. Morse owned Lowville Motors and Lowville Auto Parts.
Memorial services were held April 13, 2019 at First Mennonite Church, New Bremen, Lewis Co., NY with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
Moyer, Anna W. Moyer, 94, of Souderton, Montgomery Co., PA died November 5, 2019 at the same place. She was born October 20, 1925 at Franconia, Montgomery Co., PA to Jacob H. and Sallie (Weber) Moyer. On April 6, 1946 she was married to Raymond H. Moyer, who was born April 21, 1920 and died July 11, 2010.
Surviving are two sons, David & Elaine Moyer and Philip & Susan Moyer; eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Rose A. Bergey and her siblings, John Moyer, Howard Moyer, Ella Moyer, Sara Moyer, Eva Gehman,and Mary Moyer preceded her in death.

Mullet, Delbert L.
August 16, 1943 - October 11, 2019
Delbert L. Mullet, 76, of Goshen, died unexpectedly at 8:45 pm on Friday, October 11 at Greencroft Gables Health Care, Goshen. He was born on August 16, 1943 in Elkhart County, to Felty and Elizabeth (Helmuth) Mullet. On April 21, 1968 he married Anna Marie Mullet in Nappanee.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Nate (Jo) Mullet of Goshen, Lynn (Trina) Mullet of Middlebury, Glen Mullet of Millersburg; daughter, Shirleen (Darin) Yoder of Goshen; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Dorothy Yoder of Goshen, Mary Ellen (Jan) Heisey of Taylorsville, MS, Maggie (Glenn) Mast of Canon City, CO; brother, John (Cheryl) Mullet of Brooksville, MS.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a stillborn sister, Carole Sue Mullet.
Delbert was a loyal and faithful member of Pleasant Grove Conservative Mennonite Church where he was the treasurer for many years until his health declined. He was self-employed most of his working life and the founder of Mullet Battery in Goshen, which is currently operated by his two oldest sons. Delbert enjoyed going hunting and fishing and loved his grandchildren dearly.
Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 15 and 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 16 at Pleasant Grove Conservative Mennonite Church, 13483 CR 38, Goshen. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 17 also at Pleasant Grove Church. Services will be conducted by Bishop Randall Riegsecker, Pastor Roy Rodes, and Deacon Jeremy Weaver. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Goshen.

Mary N. Mullett, 91, of Millersburg, died at 12:55 pm, on Saturday, December 14, at Miller’s Merry Manor, LaGrange. She was born on October 16, 1928, in Kokomo, to Noah and Emma (Gingerich) Hochstedler. On March 26, 1953 in LaGrange County, she married Enos H. Mullett; he died February 6, 2016.
Surviving are nine sons, Herman (Elsie) Mullett of Sarasota, FL, Alfred (Esther) Mullett of Millersburg, OH, Freeman (Barbara) Mullett of Sarasota, FL, Wayne Mullett of Goshen, John (Dorothy) Mullett, Henry (Christina) Mullett both of Millersburg, Raymond (Irene) Mullett, Enos Jr. (Wanda) Mullett both of Goshen, Wilbur Mullett of Elkhart; four daughters, Emma Jean (Marion) Schmucker of Goshen, Martha Irene (Samuel) Miller of Nappanee, Sara Etta (Reuben) Schlabach of Millersburg, OH, Mary Leona (Jerry) Hershberger of Elkhart; 55 grandchildren, 96 great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Ann (Jonas) Miller of Shipshewana; sister-in-law, Gladys Hochstedler of LaGrange; two brothers-in-law, Marvin Miller of Middlebury, David Herschberger of Kokomo.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Ruby Ellen Mullett; one grandchild; brother, John Hochstedler; two sisters, Lydia Miller, Esther Herschberger. Mumaw, Lowell, 94, Goshen, died 11:15 p.m., Monday, Feb. 4, 2019 at Greencroft Healthcare. He was born April 18, 1924 in Wakarusa, to Ira Mumaw & Martha (Weaver) Mumaw Leinbach. He married Mildred (Bontrager) Mumaw on June 5, 1953 and she died June 25, 2006.
Surviving are children, Marcia (Curtis) Jantz, Wells, Texas, Gloria (Bob) Verbanac, Indianapolis, Eric (Kim) Mumaw, Goshen, 3 grandchildren, sister, Gladys Mast, Goshen, half-brothers, Gerald Leinbach, Hesston, Kansas, Russel Leinbach, Goshen and a step-sister, Fern Yontz, Goshen.
Preceded in death are his parents, wife, Mildred, sister, Mary Louise Kalbfleisch, step-siblings, Maurice Leinbach, Howard Leinbach, Kenneth Leinbach, J.R. Leinbach, Catherine Walter, Louida Mae Mishler, Irma Shank & Betty Herendeen.
Lowell was a 1942 graduate of Wakarusa High School and a member of Living Waters Mennonite Church, Goshen. He retired from local trailer factory companies and was a self-employed painter.
Visitation will be 12:00-2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, with the funeral service following at 2 p.m. all at The MeetingHouse, Greencroft, Goshen. Burial will follow at Elkhart Prairie Cemetery. Musselman, Leona E. Grove
May 19, 1931 - April 1, 2019
Leona E. Musselman, 87, New Holland, PA formerly of Gettysburg, PA went home to be with her Lord Monday, April 1, 2019 at Garden Spot Village in New Holland.
She was born May 19, 1931 in Hagerstown, MD, the daughter of the late Luther and Katie Eshelman Grove. She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin, and granddaughters, Ericka Horst, and Colleen Musselman as well as 6 siblings.
Leona was a former member of Bethel Mennonite Church and most recently a member of Community Church of Garden Spot Village. Family was a large focus of her life, being very generous and thoughtful in many ways. Her strong faith in God was evident in how she faced life's challenges and in the ways she served others. She was a valiant prayer warrior for her family, lifting each by name in prayer every day. She was an avid quilter in her later years and also crafted many comforters for Mennonite Central Committee. She had a passion for baking, with cinnamon rolls and pies being her specialties.
Mrs. Musselman is survived by four children; Linda Fair and her husband Neil of Lancaster, PA, Ronald Musselman and his wife Pat of Lewisburg, PA, LuAnn Horst and her husband Ron of Lancaster, PA, Randall Musselman and his wife Deborah of Dover, DE. She had 8 grandchildren; Valeri Hartman, Brad Fair, Kyle, Ryan and Emily Horst, Andy and Kelsey Musselman, and Sage Musselman, and 6 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 14 at 3:00 pm in the Garden Spot Village Chapel in New Holland, PA. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Community Church of Garden Spot Village.
Musser, James M., 64, of Bowmansville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at his home, following a several-year battle with ALS. His wife of 43 years, Susan K. (Burkhart) Musser, survives.
Born in Denver, he was the son of the late Mark G. and Maria Z. (Martin) Musser.
Prior to retiring Jim was co-owner of Hibshman's Auto Service in East Earl.
He was a member of Gehman Mennonite Church and the Bowmansville Fire Company for many years. He served as Fire Chief for 17 years.
He enjoyed camping, the outdoors and hunting near Wellsboro at his hunting camp. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons: Andrew married to Julianne Musser and their children Jackson and Reagan of New Holland; Eric married to Lauren Musser and their children Noah, Joel and Ainsley of Bowmansville; and Douglas Musser of Lynchburg, VA and six siblings: Lillian Worley, Robert married to Ruth Musser, Mary Ellen Musser, Miriam Musser, Grace married to John Sensenig, and Sylvia married to Carl Eberly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law James Worley and a sister-in-law Miriam Musser.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Bowmansville Mennonite Church, 129 Pleasant Valley Rd., East Earl. Musser, Rufus S., 90, of Ephrata, passed away at home on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, after a short illness.
Born in Brecknock Twp., he was the son of the late Isaac H. and Lena N. (Sauder) Musser. He was the husband of Irene M. Musser for 17 years. His first wife, Esther (Zimmerman) Musser passed away in 2001.
He was a member of Meadow Valley Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conference).
Rufus was a retired farmer.
In addition to his wife, Rufus is survived by four children, Marlin, husband of Merla (Sensenig) Musser of Lititz, Lorraine, wife of the late Kenneth Nolt of Lititz, Joyce, wife of Glenn Weaver of Leola, Glenn, husband of Karen (Groff) Musser of Fredericksburg; five step-children, Nevin, husband of Anna Mae Zimmerman of East Earl, Jane, wife of Leon Rutt of Mt. Joy, Dawn, wife of Curvin Good of Myerstown, Darlene, wife of Sidney Eberly of Robesonia, Janice, wife of Paul Zimmerman of Lititz; 15 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 29 step-grandchildren; 41 step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Roman (Kathryn) Musser of Lititz, Isaac (Mary Jane) Musser of Narvon, and four sisters, Anna High of Denver, Edna Martin of Myerstown, Mary, wife of Lloyd High of Lititz, Esther, wife of Lloyd Oberholtzer of Richland.
In addition to his first wife and parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Christ, David and John Musser and a sister, Eva Oberholtzer.

Musser, Ruth Zimmerman, 92, of Ephrata, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Fairmount Homes where she resided.
Born in East Earl Township, she was the daughter of the late Eli M. and Emma (Martin) Zimmerman. She was the wife of the late Paul Z. Musser who passed away in 2016 and with whom she shared 68 years of marriage.
Ruth was a member at Faith Mennonite Fellowship, Stevens. She was active in the sewing circle and volunteered at the Ephrata ReUzit Shop. Her love of sewing and quilting was demonstrated in sharing quilts with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed her flower gardens, gardening and traveling.
She is survived by five children: Eugene, husband of Leane (Bowman) of Ephrata; Joanne, wife of Jay Ginder of Lititz; Janet, wife of Roger Heller of Robesonia; Gerald, husband of Carol (Martin) of Ephrata; James, husband of Brenda (Charles) of Ephrata; 16 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Connor Holland and six siblings; 3 brothers: Harvey, Marvin and Leroy Zimmerman and 3 sisters: Verna Martin, Emma High and Elva Martin.

Trevor Kordell Musser, stillborn son of Michael S. and Margaret J. (Kreider) Musser of Ephrata, on Friday, July 12, 2019 at UPMC Lititz. Surviving in addition to his parents are six siblings, Roger, married to Lori, Jalissa, Kyle, Vanessa, Tyler, and Derrick Musser; a nephew, Liam Musser; paternal grandparents, Marlin and Merla Musser; and maternal grandparents, Ivan and Miriam Kreider.
